Today I went to the post office and I noticed something odd. Every year at this time students are allowed to dress up the windows in the entries and lobby area of the post office by painting the windows. In past years they had always painted the phrase God Bless Our Troops. This year however, they only painted the words Bless Our Troops.
Why would this be? Has political correctness invaded Fond du Lac to such a degree as to prohibit us from using God? With all of the politicizing of this issure that you see on the news everyday it would not surprise me. Our country was founded on Christian beliefs and principles. Where did we get side-tracked?
Maybe we should all write to the postmaster for an explaination. It would, if nothing else, increase mail and give them all something to do!
